We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Piping Designer to join our South Facilities Engineering and Design Team. You will be vital in creating construction drawings within the scope, budget, and schedule for mechanical piping and pipe support systems. Performing 3D modeling tasks to produce 2D drawings. You will produce piping plans, sections, elevations, and isometrics. Additionally, you will produce equipment general arrangements and elevations. Your expertise will contribute to the success of various projects by ensuring accurate and efficient design processes in alignment with project standards and procedures.

Typical Projects include industrial facilities, datacenter, central energy and utility plants, manufacturing facilities, universities, and hospitals.

*We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Denver, CO, Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, or North Kansas City, MO, office locations.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Technical or Associate Degree in drafting technology from an accredited technical institution or college or equivalent drafting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with others (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and in the current version of AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or REVIT.
  • Experience in using piping and instrumentation diagrams to generate 3d designs.
  • Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
