Duties

Greet customers warmly, providing knowledgeable assistance with meat products and related food items Prepare and package fresh meats, ensuring proper handling, cutting, and wrapping according to safety standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including meat counters, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations Restock shelves regularly, monitor inventory levels, and assist with product rotation to minimize waste Support food preparation tasks such as trimming, slicing, or portioning meats as needed in a quick service or grocery store setting

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, grocery retail, or a related food industry role is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for cash handling, weighing products, and inventory management Experience in culinary preparation or kitchen work is a plus but not required Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy boxes or standing at the counter
