Meals on Wheels Program Coordinator (Part-Time)

About the Role

Barre Housing Services operates the

Barre Meals on Wheels

program, providing nutritious meals and friendly daily contact to older adults and individuals with disabilities in our community. This program serves over 40,000 meals annually to those most in need in the Barre and surrounding towns.

We have a

wonderful, experienced kitchen team

, but we're looking for someone who can bring strong organizational and leadership skills to handle the administrative side -- managing volunteers, reporting, and fundraising -- and help the program

reach its full potential

What You'll Do

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Meals on Wheels program Coordinate, recruit, and support volunteer drivers and helpers Manage paperwork, reporting, and record-keeping requirements Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery Lead fundraising, outreach, and community engagement efforts Build relationships with clients, donors, and community partners Working with Barre Housing Authority Tenant Services and SASH help envision and grow Barre Housing Services beyond Meals on Wheels

What We're Looking For

Highly organized and self-motivated individual Strong communication and people skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience in nonprofit, community programs, or volunteer coordination preferred Fundraising or grant experience a plus

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
