Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full time (37.5 hrs/wk) Assistant Program Director of Access Emergency Services in Worcester, MA.

Community Healthlink\xe2\x80\x99s Emergency Services Department is part of the Access Division, (\xe2\x80\x9cCentralized Front Door\xe2\x80\x9d) and represents CHL to those seeking services. The Assistant Director of Emergency Services is a member of the Emergency Services Management Team that provides supervisory and clinical oversight during the evening operational hours of the program. The Emergency Services Program (ESP) provides on-site or mobile assessment to any individual experiencing a mental health crisis, a substance-abuse crisis, or both. The ESP service is accessible 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, and is available to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings within the Central and North Central areas of Worcester County.

Responsibilities

Essential responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to MCI Program Director and the Clinical Directors of Adult MCI and Youth MCI in daily operations of the programs.
  • Ensures all clinical services are in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and operational/program specifications, including both the Mobile Crisis Intervention programs (both Adult MCI and Youth MCI).
  • Assist with program operations including (but not limited to) developing staffing patterns and schedules, submission of timecards, ordering supplies, interfacing with security, facilities and IT.
  • Identify problem areas and coordinate with Facilities team to address concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular on-going clinical supervision to MCI clinical and paraprofessional staff and consultation to staff related to youth, adults, and families experiencing a mental health and/or a substance use crisis.
  • Provides and documents clinical supervision to assigned Clinical staff, Case Managers and Crisis Support Workers/Family Partners. Documents supervision of staff in an organized manner in accordance to agency and regulatory expectations.
  • Engage with internal and external treatment partners in a collaborative manner to facilitate effective continuum of care for clients served by the program.
  • Collaborate with the Police Departments and Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) to provide mental health and substance use disorder services as a diversion to jail.
  • Provide crisis assessment, counseling and clinical intervention to individuals and families in crisis using solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, crisis counseling interventions.
  • Maintains, implements, and documents completion of staff orientation and training requirements consistent with agency and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensures staff members are following program guidelines that ensure client and staff safety.
  • Ensure operational budget for program is reconciled.
  • Participates in administrator on call rotation. Provide consultation to YMCI, AMCI, and Triage staff
Speciality Responsibilities
  • Completes regular record reviews and meets with staff to highlight areas of clinical strengths as well as areas of focus for improved clinical growth.
  • Provides in-the-moment supervision and consultation to staff working with clients/families in crisis and assists staff in making appropriate clinical judgments regarding safety planning and disposition.
  • Complete crisis evaluations as needed or assigned by supervisor.
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
Qualifications
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related human services field
  • Must be Independently licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, or PsyD
  • 5 years clinical experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
