Who We Are The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) builds mutual understanding through carefully designed short-term visits to the United States for current and emerging foreign leaders. With an 80-plus-year history, it is the longest-running State Department-sponsored exchange program. Cultural Vistas is one of eight National Program Agencies (NPAs) that works together with the U.S. Department of State to administer, design, and implement IVLP projects.

In this role, our team is responsible for arranging professional and cultural itineraries throughout the United States that directly support and advance U.S. foreign policy goals, while reflecting the interests of each international visitor. We perform significant research into project themes, arrange program sessions in Washington, D.C., and work with affiliates of Global Ties U.S. to complete each IVLP project. Who You Are To be successful in this job, you will excel in customer service, organizational skills, communication skills, event facilitation, and have experience with administering program exchanges. This job will require frequent in-person/in-office work in the Washington, DC headquarters and is dependent upon the availability of grant funds. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do
  • Your job will be to assist with administering multiple IVLP projects: including the preparation of participant financial and travel logistics, event planning, and technical support. You may also be tasked with fulfilling similar functions on other Exchange Visitor Programs carried out by the team.
  • At any given time, you will be responsible for communicating with interpreter-liaisons, the U.S. Department of State, and Global Ties U.S. partner members. You will also help deliver administrative content for in-person and virtual projects for participants.
