Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the bank's growth and community presence by developing and executing marketing, communication, and branding strategies. This role is responsible for creating compelling content, coordinating campaigns, managing digital channels, and ensuring consistent messaging that reflects the bank's values and commitment to its customers and community. This position offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all of Alliance Bank's products and services.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalency.

2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.

3. Ability to offer Alliance Bank's products and services.

4. Ability to respond to customer requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.

5. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

6. Two - four years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role (banking or financial services experience a plus).

7. Experience in banking is preferred.

8. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.

9. Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media management, and Microsoft Office Suite (graphic design skills in Canva/Adobe a plus).

10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

11. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to community engagement.

12. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to deal with and respond to employees, customers, third-party vendors, and salespersons with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.

13. Ability to present a professional demeanor at all times and handle stressful situations throughout the organization.

14. Ability to operate basic office equipment including a PC with job-related software.

15. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.

16. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.

14. Knowledge of Alliance Bank's policies, procedures, products, and services.

15. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.

18. Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity.

19. Repetitive movement of finger, wrist, and hand.

20. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.

21. Ability to lift 50lbs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

2. Actively sell and cross-sell bank services.

3. Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service.

4. Promotes Alliance Bank's culture through all interactions modeling the Alliance Bank way of Customer Experience.

5. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans to promote bank products, services, and community initiatives.

6. Ensure all materials align with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

7. Support branch-level marketing initiatives and sponsorships.

8. Create engaging content for newsletters, press releases, blog posts, social media, and customer communications.

9. Draft and distribute internal communications to staff, supporting alignment on bank initiatives.

10. Serve as a liaison for media inquiries and public relations activities.

11. Assist with the bank's social media accounts, posting timely and relevant content.

12. Monitor engagement, track analytics, and recommend strategies to grow online presence.

13. Support website updates and ensure content is accurate, accessible, and current.

14. Assist with coordinating sponsorships, events, and community outreach efforts.

15. Represent the bank at community events when needed.

16. Track and report on community reinvestment activities for compliance and reporting purposes.

17. Partner with internal teams to design and execute product promotions and campaigns.

18. Assist with managing project timelines, vendors, and budgets.

19. Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports with recommendations.

20. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

21. Assist with maintaining CRM systems and track leads, referrals, and partnerships.

22. Utilize Marquis to run reports and gather data/statistics to share with key stakeholders.

23. Assist in preparing business proposals, sales presentations, and event follow-ups.

24. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position.

25. Attendance and punctuality a must.
