Job Summary and Qualifications

The Market Director of Nursing for the Ambulatory Surgery Division (ASD) ensures high quality, patient-centered care through effectively resourcing and providing expertise on clinical care operations within the market. The Director coordinates and effectively communicates operational standards and best practices to further enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of ASC strategies, policies, and procedures in support of center objectives. This position supports our Salt Lake City, Utah surgery centers as well as centers in Alaska. Travel required, as needed.

What you will do in this role:
  • You will assist ASC leadership in ensuring efficient patient throughput and delivery of high quality, patient-centered care through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
  • You will ensures employee health records are complete and will act as a liaison to provide communications and resources needed for the program.
  • You will assist in directing nursing practice and department operations through communication, collaboration and best practice sharing within the division and market.
  • You will leverages various feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction.
  • In collaboration with ASC leadership teams, you will help foster a culture that inspires commitment to the mission/vision/values of the organization.
  • You will help to identify opportunities for expansion or development of new services and product lines within the ASC to promote growth.
  • You will participate in annual budget processes, including revenue, forecasting, staffing, and supply and equipment needs.
  • You will work with the ASC leadership team to ensure effective labor management and management of operating expenses
  • You will act as an Administrator designee in Administrator\xe2\x80\x99s absence or interim Administrator when needed
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing
  • Masters in Nursing or Business Preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years clinical RN experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center surgical setting
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in leadership
  • Experience in OR or PACU preferred
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable***
  • ACLS and PALS
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Our facility performs over 850 cases a month. We provide services in gastroenterology, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, podiatry and urology.
