Job Opportunity: Marine Construction - Superintendent

Position Summary

This role will lead marine construction projects in the field with the potential to manage multiple jobs and crews. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker who anticipates issues and develops proactive strategies. This role requires experience in marine construction or similar, with a focus on production and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Manage marine construction projects (seawall/bulkhead, docks, pile driving, dredging) ensuring timely completion and high-quality results. Working on and around barges, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Potential to lead and coordinate multiple crews and projects, providing crew instructions to improve efficiency. Approach projects with a forward-thinking mindset to avoid disruptions/delays and maximize efficiency. Lead a safety-first culture by enforcing all safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and promoting best practices to prevent accidents. Collaborate with office staff, crews, and clients to maintain schedules, resolve issues, and deliver a quality service.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience in all facets of pile driving, working with but not limited to timber, concrete, steel, sheet, and helical piles Proven experience as a superintendent or similar role in marine construction or a related field. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and details Knowledge of marine construction techniques, including seawalls, docks, pile driving, dune walkovers, and dredging. Demonstrated ability to lead projects effectively with a high degree of communication Forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to anticipate potential challenges and develop proactive solutions. Strong commitment to safety, including familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience in implementing safety programs. Ability to work in a dynamic outdoor environment, including coastal sites, with flexibility for travel as needed. Basic computer skills with the ability and willingness to use construction software to report from the field to office.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
