Troy is seeking Mapping/Drafting Specialists to be part of our growing Project Services team. This exciting opportunity provides for full lifecycle project services.

Your Responsibilities:

The Mapping/Drafting Specialist will perform routine to challenging assignments, which require knowledge and skill in basic mapping/drafting techniques, procedures, knowledge of applicable industry standards, and design standards. The Mapping/Drafting Specialist may have full or partial responsibility for the following tasks:

• Creating, maintaining and distributing mapping data based on engineering input, as well as client/third-party needs
• Publishing and maintaining web-based map services and applications
• Incorporating and integrating with survey, GIS, engineering, environmental, land and other technical datasets
• Producing extensive mapping and drawing packages and numerous other mapping deliverables \xe2\x80\x93 pipeline alignment sheets, permit drawings, plats, detail drawings, plans and profiles, location maps and other related deliverables
• Leading mapping/design and analysis to support the generation of development opportunities
• Leveraging standard AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software applications, as well as custom/proprietary tools developed by Troy and/or clients
• Coordinating and verifying the quality of mapping data/operations for large engineering projects
• Collaborating with engineering, GIS and constructability team members on numerous work assignments in a proactive, client-oriented environment
• Expanding digital capabilities by exploring and integrating new technologies and software, plus developing new strategies to improve existing methods, digital tools, automation, and workflows
• Perform coordination with constructability, engineering, survey, environmental, geotechnical and right-of-way team members
• Prepare technical documents and correspondence
• Provide direction for mapping data to be incorporated into digital project controls tools
• Interface and connect daily with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
• Provide mapping content for proposal development in response to client RFPs
• Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced team members

Position_Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Technical training, proficiency and experience in mapping/drafting functions
• Expertise in applicable industry codes and standards
• Senior Mapping Specialist: 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in mapping/drafting and related services
• Mapping Specialist: 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in mapping/drafting and related services
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, databases and related software programs
• Experience with Skyline (BSD) \xe2\x80\x93 preferred but not required
• Experience with GIS technology/mapping \xe2\x80\x93 advantageous but not required
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with significant collaboration, knowledge sharing and focus on customer service
