Job Description

We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Camden, Arkansas

Description:

This company makes military flares for aircraft. Right now this facility has 8 product lines and the company is going through making improvements to the equipment and processes. This person will be working with suppliers to establish what equipment needs upgrades and what suppliers to use for those projects. they will be writing SoWs for suppliers involved with process improvement and establishing work instructions around those processes. They will be designing upgrades and improvements using Pro-E Creo and be tasked with making processes more efficient and lean.

• Design manufacturing equipment using CREO.

Conducting prototype and engineering tests for design verification.

• Write Statements of Work (SOW) and interface with suppliers in the design, fabrication, implementation of various manufacturing equipment.

• Plan and track schedule and budget for manufacturing equipment implementation projects.

• Overseeing testing and qualification of mechanical assemblies.

• Create and conduct technical presentations on the above items.

• Physical capabilities of lifting materials up to 50 pounds, walking up and down steps and to designated buildings as the situation warrants.

• All work to be performed on site unless visiting suppliers/customers.
• Experience with DoD 4145

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Physical Sciences.

• Knowledgeable in basic project management principles.

• Energetics/hazardous materials experience preferred.

• DOD experience preferred.

• Sound ability to analyze data and write technical reports.

• Proficient with MS Office Suite including strong Microsoft Excel skills.
