Primary Purpose:

The purpose of the position is to provide accounting and financial reporting support to the global treasury function. Quarterly disclosures of Goodyear\'s financing arrangements are important disclosures in our SEC filings. The manager is responsible to be sure any financing transactions are in compliance with Goodyear accounting policies and US GAAP. Should there be new accounting pronouncements in the area of Treasury, this position is responsible to implement them. The position also is responsible for monitoring critical processes and internal controls as part of the Company\'s compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Finally the position plays a key role in participating in Treasury projects to improve its use of technology. This involves testing of various systems to assure reporting remains accurate including the reliance of any system based controls for Sarbanes Oxley.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Global Treasury Accounting and Controls Ownership - Cataloging current global treasury practices and identifying gaps (geographic/ testing) to get team globally aligned on control testing processes, particularly as they relate to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Maintain accounting compliance in accordance with Goodyear Worldwide accounting policies, US GAAP and SEC disclosures. Serve as the liaison between Treasury and Controlling organization
• Ownership of Treasury Reporting Package - Publishing monthly as well as continual monitoring of package enhancements / amendments with key Treasury stakeholders as well as any other reports needed by the Treasury team.
• Manage IT process improvements, Treasury Management - TM - Reporting and SAP system imporvement requests and future improvements to the TM debt reporting process, as well as implementation of yet to be determined software and utilization of SAP\'s Central Finance tool.
• Manage internal Treasury accounting staff, including recruiting, selection and performance management. Also includes periodic review of the staff\'s job responsibilities and work load distribution to assure it is responsive to the current needs of the Treasury team. This may involve relocation of certain activities to Goodyear\'s GBS organization
• Global Treasury Policy Ownership, including changes to TM policy/process - Chair global treasury policy committee to ensure annual review/ update of all Treasury policies Implement and communicate worldwide on a periodic basis. Implementation of any changes to US GAAP or global Accounting Policies.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors with concentration in Accounting or Finance
• 8 + years experience creating or auditing treasury disclosures for SEC reporting
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and compliance
• Previous supervisory experience

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Masters Degree in Business with concentration in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation
• A strong understanding of business processes
• Strong communication skills including effective presentation skills
• Demonstrated skills in improving processes and procedures
• Demonstrated success in leading tream projects
• Ability to manage multipe tasks under strict deadlines
