The Albuquerque Isotopes are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented sales professional that will be instrumental in building the ticketing strategy from the ground up and creating the foundation to surpass short-term and long-term ticket revenue goals, attendance goals and retention goals. The Manager, Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the Assistant GM, Sales & Marketing.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, recruit, hire, train and lead a sales team to build a dynamic sales environment that will exceed the sales goals of the organization
Assist in developing, implementing, and executing the short-term and long-term ticket sales strategies of the organization
Evaluate the daily activities of the sales team and provide regular feedback, training, coaching and leadership during weekly reviews
Provide guidance on the sales process with every team member, including assistance with prospecting, qualifying potential clients, presenting solutions and hosting consistent meetings with everyone on a regular basis
Regularly measure the effectiveness of the organization's various sales campaigns and offerings and provide recommendations for further improvement
Responsible for, but not limited to, new season ticket sales, packaged suites/hospitality, and group events to corporations, non-profits, schools, civic groups and the general public with an emphasis on maximizing revenue
Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals
Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in ballpark "face-to-face" meetings to create new business opportunities
Provide a superior level of customer service to all, season ticket holders, plan holders, single game buyers, new business prospects and fans alike
Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
Participate and contribute to sales team meetings and training sessions
Model and reinforce the Isotopes expectations of positivity, work ethic, professionalism, respect and being the best you can be
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum two years of prior outbound sport sales experience
Minimum one year management experience
Looking for a leader who is personable, hardworking, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented to become a valuable member of our sales team.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, basic computer skills, project management, and inter-personal skills necessary.
Willing to engrain themselves in the community through networking and relationship building
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
Ability to navigate the stadium in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both game days and non-game days
Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holiday
Minimum three business based relationship references available upon request.
