Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Manager, Publications (Temporary) to support operations for our publications team. You will report to the Director of Publications and manage publication plans for CMV/HIV and Influenza with integration of research publication plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

• Coordinate, facilitate and support Research\'s publication activities from concept to content development to reviews to publishing
• Manage publication plans across several therapeutic areas
• Work with Director of Publications to maintain research publications budget
• Collaborate with Research, team members, alliance partners and external authors on medical and research publication activities
• Maintain and follow Vir\'s standard operating procedures for publications
• Rout publication reviews and adjudicate comments in DataVision
• Submit abstracts to a scientific congress
• Track publications metrics, communicate publication updates to relevant partners and facilitate ongoing functional and regional planning

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with publication guidance (including ICMJE, GPP3, Consort Guidelines, AMA Manual of Style, among others) and congress / journal requirements for publications
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal guidelines regarding publication planning and strategy
• 5+ years biopharmaceutical experience in publications
• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline
• Experience with DataVision or related publications software
• Ability to interpret, synthesize and present complex medical and scientific data
• Working knowledge of clinical trial design, biostatistics and standard editorial style conventions
• Familiarity with regulatory and legal guidelines regarding publication planning and strategy
• Research or industry experience in virology, immunology or a related field
• The role is open to remote workers
