Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods.

Kentfield Hospital is a long-term acute care facility with two locations in both San Francisco and Kentfield. This position oversees the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of the hospital's physical facilities and equipment, ensuring life safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient energy use. This includes preventive maintenance programs, managing maintenance staff and contractors, leading projects, and coordinating with other departments to maintain a functional and safe environment for healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge and firsthand experience with all aspects of maintenance service and repair in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing standards for hospitals. This position will oversee both locations as needed and is based in Kentfield.


POSITION SUMMARY

Position Supervisory Responsibilities




Supervises the following positions: Maintenance Techs, Housekeeping/Environmental Services Staff, and Security Staff where applicable.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum Qualifications:



BA or equivalent experience required. Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience working as a Sr. Maintenance Tech/Manager in a healthcare setting preferred. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and familiarity with water chemical testing required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:



Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as experience with hospital equipment and construction preferred. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ability to be a tactical leader Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare plant operations preferred. Electrician and/or other maintenance certification preferred. HVAC certification preferred. Certification for Freon recovery is required where support of air-conditioning/refrigeration is applicable. Ability to project a professional image. Must be able to communicate with varying levels of communication styles efficiently and diplomatically. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills. * Working knowledge of work order systems and computer proficiency
