Manager, Facilities Management
This position is responsible for the management of various facility management services at Colgate-Palmolive worldwide corporate headquarters - Manhattan, NY. The Manager develops yearly operating and capital expense budgets, formulates policies and procedures and execution for Facilities Management and maintenance, Mail and Duplication Services, cafeteria operations, construction, project administration, facilities planning and design, office and equipment purchasing. This position Supervises 3rd Party Integrated Facilities Management Provider, Landlord services, and Contractors as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for appearance and cleanliness of each floor including the C-suite.
  • Oversees the Integrated Facilities Management contractor staff including facility management, cafe, catering, mailroom services and other as needed
  • Responsible for construction administration and site inspections from external partners
  • The Applicant will be involved in the process of reviewing new hires of the IFM staff.
  • Co-manages the daily operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of Colgate\'s leased facility at the corporate headquarters.
  • Identifies and delegates repair & maintenance projects to contractors.
  • Understands and manages the facilitation of all incoming and outgoing mail, courier and messenger services including receiving and shipping functions through the utilization of the IFM services.
  • Coordinates the leasing program for convenience multifunction copiers located throughout the facility.
  • Ability to review and comment on architectural and construction engineering drawings.
  • Designs and implements new office space configurations specifying office and workstations. This includes furniture, upgraded electric service and lighting, the voice and data communication equipment infrastructure and aesthetic office space enhancements.
  • Delegates responsibility for project supervision to subordinates/contractors and ensures that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget parameters and meets governmental regulatory compliance.
  • Supports the purchasing function of various products to support operations in office services, mail, cafeteria and Facilities Managements including office furniture, fixtures and equipment, mailroom supplies, cafeteria supplies.
  • Reviews purchasing of various office supplies, office needs of furniture
  • Coordinates key events for Life Safety working with building owner and local officials
  • Works alongside with and coordinates key personnel and provided directives for Board of Director\'s meeting for pre and post setups.
  • Organizes trade and contractor visits through security for access to the site when required.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or Arts or related
  • 5-8+ year experience in Facilities or Property Management
  • Availability to work on-site 5 days per week and to be on call for emergencies
  • Teamwork oriented with with a high level of accuracy and responsiveness
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Strong passion for continuous improvement and self-motivated
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, self-starter and the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple issues at one time
  • Uncompromising commitment to confidentiality, quality, and client service
  • Creative problem-solving skills, proactive approach, good judgment, highly empathetic, ethical, and professionally mature
  • Plan and manage work under time constraints.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project and be a quick learner to CP applications needed
Salary Range $100,000 - $147,000 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
