Your role at Baxter

This position is responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of three facilities, grounds, and equipment. Manage and coordinate the activities of Maintenance and Facilities organization to ensure that work / projects are completed within time, cost, and quality constraints; and to ensure efficient daily performance of manufacturing equipment. Perform all duties with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Identification of resourcing needs and running cost-benefit analysis for decisions regarding facility and energy resources
  • Manages Facilities and Maintenance technicians, equipment and buildings and coordinates preventive and planned maintenance as required.
  • Management and tracking of project performance and metrics.
  • Leadership of reliability reviews and perform failure mode analysis for assets being developed through capital project processes.
  • Trending of maintenance work to identify high cost and high frequency maintenance activities and identify actions to improve reliability.
  • Identification of cost reduction opportunities through extended parts life, reduce labor cost, and other cost improvement techniques.
  • Manages housekeeping activities across facility, including liaison with third-party janitorial contractors, maintain inventory of required housekeeping supplies, working with supply chain to procure supplies, maintain buildings, rest rooms and meeting rooms required by cGMP & Baxter requirements.
  • Primary insurance contact for annual risk management inspections and associated client audits/inspections, including hot work permits, facility sprinkler system maintenance, testing and impairment programs. Responsible for audit report responses and coordination of closing associated action items in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of GMP facility critical systems and building codes is requires
  • Review and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Work with contractors and vendors to establish and maintain contract service agreements
  • Ensure continuous operation of facilities and equipment within design parameters to meet regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate equipment data to ensure manufacturing processes and environments are in control per established frequencies and specifications.
  • Support plant wide strategic plan initiatives and projects
  • Interface with other departments to resolve issues relating to facilities equipment and compliance.
  • Manage after hours on-call maintenance program
  • Interface with external and internal auditors as needed
  • Frequent interaction with all levels of employees
  • Strong communication skill- both written and oral. Good working knowledge of windows-based applications
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ensure site complies to Baxter, state and federal health and safety regulations
  • Ensures team members\xe2\x80\x99 adherence to all safety and compliance requirements.
  • Support plant wide strategic plan programs and activities
  • Knowledge of plant systems and building codes
  • General working knowledge of applicable quality and regulatory standards and regulations
  • Develop, implement and maintain business processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions.

What you\'ll bring
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering required
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred
  • 6 years minimum experience working in a GMP regulated facility
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific, technical, and statistical reports and journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Experience and aptitude for redesign and modification to enhance equipment performance.
  • Ability to modify or develop control logic to enhance equipment performance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings, flowcharts, and/or other drawings of a technical nature.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond with a sense of urgency and motivate team to do the same.
  • Ability and willingness to expand knowledge and scope in maintenance techniques and new equipment technologies.
  • Ability to write and effectively present information to groups and senior management.
  • Requires moderate understanding of financial performance reports.
  • Proven track record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments, and lead effectively and efficiently in a team
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
