Overview
The Category Manager (CM) is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize the performance of the department. This role requires an understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and supplier relationships to drive sales, optimize inventory, and enhance customer experience. Furthermore, the CM plans and executes all aspects of product development policies, programs, objectives, and initiatives with oversight from the Director of Beer/Wine. The CM is accountable for achieving sales/margin goals, researching new products and product enhancements that meet the expectations of Sprouts minimum standards. The CM analyzes past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine assortment.
