The transaction is anticipated to close early in the second calendar quarter of 2023. Upon closing of the acquisition, Post expects to create a new pet food platform within Post Consumer Brands. This role is part of the team of 1,000 employees who will soon join the Post family to focus on and grow these iconic pet brands.

Join more than 400 team members collaborating on the two-building campus to help put breakfast on the tables of millions of consumers in North America. Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible for creating customer-specific category management deliverables for both our Sales team and Customer Category Managers, with emphasis on actionable category and shopper insights. There is specific emphasis on actionable category and shopper insights that drive the business for both the assigned customers and our Brands. Collects, summarizes, and presents available data to provide our sales force and category management team with information necessary to develop the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Translate strategic category growth stories and initiatives from the Pet Business Unit into retailer specific action items

  • Identify key customer and category opportunities which inform JBPs
  • Lead development and deployment of national stories into customizable category leadership plans
  • Influence retailer category strategies through account specific Insights
Assist Sales (National Account Managers and/or Broker) in identifying market opportunities and communicate this information to cross functional teams
  • Analyze customer business using IRI or Nielsen and customers proprietary data (shopper card, point-of-sale).
  • Develop and present category reviews that will be leveraged to grow total category sales
  • Use information from multiple data sources to identify Category opportunities
  • Develop solutions with respect to product distribution, promotion, pricing, and shelf-placement
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations to inform customer of business/consumer trends, existing opportunities, and solutions for growth
  • Analyze and design retailer recommended Plan-o-grams using JDA Space Planning software
Participate in various training activities to enhance job performance and personal growth. Conduct market visits that include:
  • Shopper Insights
  • Retail audits
  • Account calls
  • Business planning sessions
  • Complete/attend all necessary information & technology training
Assist other functional areas to develop business opportunities and provide information
  • Work with Marketing to identify and close opportunities, monthly reporting of new product launches
  • Work with Marketing Research to analyze, recap, and disseminate research findings
  • Work with Category Strategy or Commercialization team on special projects
Qualifications: Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • 2 - 3 years Category Management or Shopper Insights experience
  • Experience building relationships within customers
  • Experience in analysis of Consumer Packaged Goods data (syndicated, point-of-sale, shopper, demographic, etc.)
  • Retailer Shopper Card data systems & Household Panel experience
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and storytelling experience
