Job Summary:

As Realty Income\xe2\x80\x99s Manger, Accounts Receivable you will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and leadership to a team of Rent Specialists. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Accounts Receivable, the Manager, Accounts Receivable is responsible for leading a Rent Specialist team, whose core function is to ensure the accurate and timely posting of monthly rental income across a growing portfolio of over 12,000 properties. The Manager, Accounts Receivable is also responsible for working closely with the Asset Management, Property Accounting, Research, Legal, and Property Management teams to determine collectability of unpaid amounts and is responsible for follow-up efforts to collect past due receivables.
What you will be working on:
Revenue Application Review

  • Manage all aspects of accounts receivable functions ensuring accurate, timely posting and reconciliation of monthly rents.
  • Coordinate appropriate cash application of inbound receipts across outstanding rent and expense charges in conjunction with the Real Estate Finance Operations team.
  • Meet with Rent Specialists and Asset Management to make determinations on collection efforts for delinquent accounts.
  • Run various Month-end reports and provide analysis, insight, and updates on the rent teams\xe2\x80\x99 status of close to the Associate Vice President, Accounts Receivable prior to Property Accounting\xe2\x80\x99s month-end close deadlines.
Yardi Implementation, Process Improvement and Training
  • Active role in implementation of Yardi initiatives and upgrades.
  • Constantly identify recurring processes that can be automated to drive faster posting of rent without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Maintain strong working relationship and collaboration with Accounting and Property Management teams to ensure accurate billing, cash posting, and receipt applications by Rent Specialist team and Accenture.
  • Create and maintain effective training manuals and other media to assist in the on-boarding of new personnel and to maintain consistency and best practices in Rent Specialist Team procedures and functions.
Data Compliance
  • Review AR reports, bank data, and Yardi reports for completeness and accuracy prior to Property Accounting\xe2\x80\x99s monthly close deadlines.
  • Review Rent Specialists\xe2\x80\x99 monthly reports for completion of follow-up items.
  • Identified SharePoint Site Owner for Finance Operations Team Hub
Leadership & Development
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of six Rent Specialists.
  • Regularly hold meetings to collaborate on processes, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Publish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures as it relates to all aspects of rent related duties.

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent from four-year college or university.
  • 7+ years of related experience in Real Estate Accounting, Accounts Receivable, or related field.
  • Management experience required.
  • GL accounting knowledge required.

The base salary for this role is in the range of $68,375 - $114,559. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate\'s experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
