Boulevard Park Place Active Retirement Living community is hiring a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Specialist.
We are a family-owned, 126-unit Active Senior community on 12 acres in Burien, WA.
Schedule, Benefits and Pay:
You will work the following schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with some reasonable flexibility.

Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be inspired to be disciplined and take ownership of the maintenance upkeep of the Community.
You will have the opportunity to bond with the Residents each day to foster a sense of trust.
Prepare units for new residents: Turn over vacant units efficiently by performing necessary cleaning, painting, and maintenance to ensure they are ready for move-in, this may include cleaning of appliances, and shampooing carpets.
Perform general repairs: Conduct repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
Conduct inspections: Regularly inspect the property, including interior and exterior grounds, to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and general upkeep.
Handle outdoor maintenance tasks such as trash removal, seasonal clean-ups, and snow or ice removal on walkways.
Complete work orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff for repairs in residential units and common areas.
Operate equipment: Safely and effectively use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
You will ensure the work of outside contractors is done with the highest quality.
Document work: Keep accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory.
Qualifications:
You have a minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance; preferably experience in a hotel, hospital, apartment or senior living community.
You are comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
You are able and willing to climb stairs and ladders, are able to bend and twist as needed, and able lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and up to 60lbs. occasionally.
You have a valid driver's license and clean driving record and are willing and able to drive the community bus safely, if needed.
You have experience performing routine maintenance and building repair with a working knowledge of custodial procedures.
You have basic computer skills using email, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
You have an ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, managers, and vendors.
