The Omniseal Solutions division under the Mobility business is looking for an Engineering Technician to join the Saint-Gobain team.

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for specialized measuring of diagnostic devices to evaluate how electrical equipment is working, calibrating instrumentation, build electronic devices based on reading schematics, inspect for problems, replace old equipment and install new equipment. They will create, maintain and repair the electronic components and equipment used in any machine or device that involves electricity.

• Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays and switches.
• Setup sensing mechanisms utilizing hand tools.
• Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units like printed circuit boards, relays and other components to bring the unit into electrical compliance.
• Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines, which are faulty.
• Perform electrical skills with increasing independence.
• Perform & report panels and electrical inspections per NEC & NFPA 70 codes.
• Assist site in the inspection and diagnosis of maintenance problems.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment following OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70, and company policy, 5S methodology before, during and after the scheduled shift.
• Provide support to maintenance team and the site by performing all other duties as assigned by the Facility & Maintenance Manager to ensure an efficient operating site.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma or GED (Required)
• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience. (Required)
• Vocational certification in electrical or electronic engineering technology. (Preferred)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $23.04 to $38.03 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $51,700 to $85,400. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]
