Duties

Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, following assigned routes with precision and timeliness Load and unload packages, mail, and supplies using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Deliver mail, parcels, and packages to residential and commercial addresses while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to maximize delivery speed and customer satisfaction Provide excellent customer service by interacting courteously with recipients, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, organizing, and preparing shipments for delivery Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit; handle heavy lifting safely during loading/unloading operations Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for all shipments processed during your shift Support team efforts by collaborating with colleagues to meet daily delivery goals and uphold company standards

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred Proven delivery driver experience or courier background demonstrating reliability and punctuality Ability to operate box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission skills; familiarity with load & unload procedures is essential Experience using forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus for handling larger shipments safely Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, moving boxes, and standing or walking for extended periods throughout the day Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries in various traffic conditions Warehouse experience is advantageous for managing inventory efficiently Ability to follow safety protocols diligently during all aspects of the job
