Contracted Mail Carriers

to service USPS routes in

Florence, OR

. This is a contracted position that requires

reliable individuals

with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. If you are

Job Responsibilities:

Sort and deliver mail and packages along an assigned USPS route. Operate and maintain your own delivery vehicle in accordance with USPS regulations. Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Work in various weather conditions and navigate rural and urban roads. Maintain accurate records and follow all USPS policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Must own or lease a

reliable vehicle

with at least

120 cubic feet of cargo space

(SUV, minivan, or larger). Must have a

valid driver's license

and a

clean driving record

(no recent DUIs, reckless driving, or excessive violations). Must be

able to pass a background check

(no disqualifying criminal history). Must be

able to pass a drug test

. Must have

full-time availability Monday - Saturday

with

a start time of 7:30 AM

(

until all deliveries are completed

). (About 8 hours depending on skill level and other factors) Must be

able to lift up to 50 lbs

and handle repetitive movement throughout the day. Must be

proficient in English

(speaking, reading, and writing) to effectively communicate with USPS staff and customers. Must understand what it means to work as a

1099 independent contractor

(responsible for your own taxes, no benefits, no overtime pay).
