Determines and documents the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul to verify compliance to the applicable regulatory and customer requirements.

StandardAero is a company that uses special processes to repair and restore used aircraft engine parts to new condition. We are centrally located in North Kansas City, just off the Hwy 9 Heart of America Bridge and have multiple positions available to fit most every skill set. Our comprehensive training and development program allows our employees to learn skills previously unknown in a safe and rewarding environment. The typical StandardAero North KC employee stays for over 25 years and has multiple opportunities for advancement within the company as experience is gained and new skills are developed. We work on parts from most military and commercial jets in use today as well as the next generation engines of tomorrow. No prior aviation or mechanical experience is required, we will teach you everything you need to know. All we ask is for you to bring your attention to detail, willingness to learn and commitment to Quality and reliability!

Come join our team! We are looking for multiple individuals to be trained and work in one or more of the following areas:

  • Paint/Air Brush
  • Thermal Spray Coating (Robot Controlled)
  • Machining (Mill / Lathe) and Grinding
  • Metal Blending
  • Shot Peening
  • Disassembly / Assembly
  • Part Masking
  • Part Cleaning (Media/Chemical)
  • Inspection
What you\'ll do:
  • Be dependable and timely regarding your attendance and task completion. The company is willing to work with all employees to accommodate any one time or regularly scheduled shift modifications.
  • Be willing to be trained and practice the skills taught to achieve acceptable levels of capability. Work with your trainer to ensure confidence in your abilities once fully trained.
  • Identify and communicate any safety, quality or improvement ideas or concerns.
  • Follow all documented quality and safety requirements and report any unsafe or non-conforming practices observed.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Able to follow written instructions to complete process steps as defined. On the Job Training for all jobs will be provided by a trained operator.
  • Able to learn the use of measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Mathematical aptitude for addition and subtraction
  • Familiar with use of computers to scan bar codes.
  • Able to work safely by following process instructions and wearing any necessary protective equipment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Most positions require standing for prolonged periods.
