Machine Operator Extrusion (second Shift)

2-3-2: 7:00PM - 7:00AM




Production




Coordinate and monitor the tasks related to the settings of different machines. Ensure the care of the machine functions and methods to be used according to different needs of production to be carried out. Reading work orders, pulling and threading webs during startup of extruder, treaters, presses, post gussets, or winder. Troubleshooting on extruder machines, separator, or winder. Removal of finished products, scrap and unused cartons and other supplies from manufacturing area when no longer required for use. Inspect skids of finished product for proper label, date code, special ticketing of product that requires additional product information for specific customers. Ability to locate, gather and transport to work areas all cartons, cores, concentrates, resins, and all other supplies as needed for production requirements in the absence of a material handler. Capable of maintaining filters on resin pumping system to ensure material flow to extrusion lines.

Health and Safety




Report any dangerous situations to the production supervisor. Compliance with Health and Safet policies and programs in place. Wearing proper personal protective equipment. Wearing safety glasses and shoes Wearing noise reduction earplugs

Quality




Ensure that all aspects of his or her area of responsibility are in full compliance with the quality system in place for the operation being performed. Ensure that the machines are regularly cleaned according to the sanitation requirements. Monitor roll weights of finished product for all lines and ensure record keeping at hourly intervals. Perform spot inspections of finished product and record results on corresponding paperwork. Promote compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP)

Other Activities




Suggest and implement opportunities related to production operations. Follow continuous training to improve knowledge related to the machines to be operated and to the conformity of quality certification standards and perform any other related task required according to operational needs.
