Job Overview

We are seeking a part time knowledgeable and experienced Low Voltage Project Manager to oversee and coordinate low voltage electrical projects. This role involves managing installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including schematics and computer networking.

Duties

Lead and manage low voltage projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met Oversee installation of low voltage systems such as security, fire alarms, data cabling, and audio-visual equipment Utilize hand tools and test equipment like ohmmeters to diagnose issues and perform equipment repair or maintenance Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Manage service technician teams performing field service tasks including equipment repair and system maintenance Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, issues, and resolutions

Skills

Proven experience in field service, service technician roles, or project management within low voltage or electrical systems Proficiency with hand tools, schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment Strong mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance Familiarity with computer hardware setup and computer networking principles Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and vendors Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and working at heights or in confined spaces
