About the Role

The Local Representative plays a vital role in supporting international high school exchange students and host families within their community. This position combines cultural exchange, relationship-building, and community engagement to ensure a positive and enriching experience for both students and hosts.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit & Support Host Families:Identify, interview, and screen potential host families to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for exchange students.

Student Placement:Match students with suitable host families based on shared interests, values, and compatibility. Orientation & Check-ins:Conduct student and host family orientations before and during the exchange year to prepare both parties for cultural adjustment. Ongoing Support:Maintain regular contact with students and host families to monitor progress, address concerns, and ensure compliance with program and government regulations. Community Outreach:Promote the exchange program locally by networking with schools, churches, and community organizations. Reporting:Submit required documentation, progress reports, and updates to the regional office on time.
Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience working with teens, families, or schools preferred. Knowledge of local community resources and schools. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage flexible hours. Passion for cultural exchange, global education, and youth development. Must be at least 25 years old (per program regulations). Ability to pass background screening.
