The primary focus of the Loan Advisor I is to build and deepen relationships of our members through loan and new membership interactions. The position is responsible for gathering all information pertinent to granting a loan application and advise the appropriate products and services to benefit and protect the member\xe2\x80\x99s financial future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Actively cross-sell credit union services by providing information to current, new and potential member.
Create excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
Interview members, in person, by phone, and video applying for a loan. Assist member in selecting the appropriate loan type.
Complete loan application, updating member records and preparing new records as required.
Conduct outbound calls to proactively partner with members.
Provide debt counseling to members.
Assist members over the phone.
Build new member relationships while offering products and services tailored to the members current and future financial needs.
Consistently achieves the established sales targets of Veridian product and services such as ancillary products, loan growth, referrals, outbound initiatives, and new memberships.
Understand and be familiar with all branch operations and loan regulations and guidelines.
Ability to perform all retail, operations, and procedural responsibilities of Teller Service Representatives and Member Service Representatives.
Support Member Contact Center to enhance our member experience as needed.

TRAVEL
Limited travel expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma.
1+ years of experience in a financial institution or closely related area.
Proven success in the areas of Member service, sales, and advice.
Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows Environment
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledgeable of loan procedures and related legal requirements.
6+ months of Veridian product and service knowledge.
