Position Overview

Morton Golf is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. This role is not just about preparing meals; it's about crafting an attractive and inviting dining experience for each guest. Your expertise in cooking and food preparation will play a crucial role in enhancing our service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Create delicious and visually appealing dishes, adhering to health code standards.

Follow all sanitation and safety procedures.

Implement cost-cutting measures and manage food inventory effectively.

Perform opening and closing procedures and prepare for shifts.

Cook and manage food orders, setting the pace for service delivery.

Train new team members and assist in various kitchen tasks.

Contribute to kitchen operations and manage workflow efficiently.

Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment and report any issues.

Qualifications

Experience

o Minimum 2 years of cooking experience with a proven track record.

Specialized Knowledge

o Comprehensive understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.

o Knowledgeable in federal and state health code and cooking regulations.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

Strong work ethic, team player, adaptable, and committed to personal growth.

A commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Flexibility to work M -F & weekends. Part time could be scheduled any day.

A valid food handler's certificate or the willingness to obtain one upon hire.
