Blue Gems Swim School is Chicagoland\'s premier boutique family-owned swimming school focusing on infant, children, and adult learn to swim lessons as well as a variety of progressive aquatic development programs.

• Previous experience not required \xe2\x80\x93 training and certification will be provided in-house/off-site
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for longer periods of time
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Successful completion of Swim Instructor training is required during initial on-boarding training (training provided on-site)

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility and communicate the rules of the facility
• Ensure that medical services are contacted by appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service
• Provide swim instructions based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
• Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Assist with closing and securing the facility
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
