*LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR - NEWPORT BEACH, CA (HYBRID)*

Job Summary:
The Legal Administrator supports the organization by handling a wide variety of operational and litigation matter by performing the essential duties and responsibilities. Although not limited to, this position reviews and prepares various legal documents, researches law, investigates facts, and regularly interfaces with external counsel, title companies, lenders, governmental agencies and other external partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs research in areas of law as it relates to specific codes and statues that affect company entities or business lines.
  • Prepares corporate documentation such as minutes, resolutions, and articles necessary for maintaining appropriate corporate records.
  • Participates in real estate transactions with external counsel, title companies, lenders, equity sources and production personnel.
  • Coordinates with governmental agencies on the filing of real estate license and construction licenses.
  • Works with governmental agencies on the procurement of identification numbers and the maintenance of corporate status forms and related documents.
  • Communicates with lenders, brokers, and lender\'s counsel regarding due diligence for financing, coordinates delivery from various sources.
  • Prepares execution copies of loan documents, obtains signatures, and coordinates delivery of documents to escrow, lender and counsel.
  • Coordinates escrow closings with title and escrow officers and other company managers; approves, executes and delivers ancillary documents.
  • Manages maintenance of entity file records.
  • Compiles and maintains corporate closing binders, including all loan documents and entity formation documents.
  • Prepares legal correspondence to address legal issues.
  • Maintains tracking database of all legal matters.
  • Various other legal matters as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of related experience, a Paralegal Certificate, and a Bachelor\'s degree from a four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
  • Paralegal Certificate is required.
  • Outlook Email, Calendar and Contact systems experience.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
Salary range is $40.00-$45.00/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
