Who Do We Want?
Becht is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist who possesses the creative energy necessary to function at a high level of competence. This position requires a collaborative development of technical documentation and other didactic materials to enhance the skills and knowledge of chemical/refinery plant process operators in domestic and international projects.
A Learning and Development Specialist prepares operating instructions, process description manuals, how-to manuals, and other supporting documentation to communicate complex and technical information more easily. They review training materials from multiple sources and choose appropriate materials for the audience. They participate in group meetings and one-on-one sessions with subject matter experts and plant personnel to present the documents and ensure technical accuracy.
Remote work but 25% travel is required. Flexible schedule.

Your Knowledge and Expertise: The Learning and Development Specialist should have experience with most, if not all, of the following programs:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology; or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Journalism Communication, Sociology, English, or Education or experience in Learning and Development or closely associated discipline.
• Experience aligned with the job description
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point
• Skilled in Visio and/or LucidChart
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and PFDs
• Technical writing preferred

• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
• Comfort and ability to work within ambiguity and minimum supervision.
• Willingness and desire to travel
