Job Description

BTS, a global learning company, seeks a leadership subject matter expert (SME) who can help scale production of standard (i.e., non-custom) content to help BTS achieve its aggressive revenue and profitability goals. This is a senior position that requires a person with two critical skills. You must be either:

• A subject matter expert in Leadership (or possibly Sales) who is also an unusually skilled writer.

• A professional writer who has extensive in-the trenches experience hiring, onboarding, leading, developing, and retaining people.

As a key member of the team that\xe2\x80\x99s leading this digital transformation effort, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be asked to:

• Contribute to the overall content strategy, which involves creating new forms of standard content either for first-time learning or performance support/reinforcement/practice
• Collaborate on the creation of individual content assets with other content producers
• Write content scripts in various formats

Here are some paths that might make you a qualified candidate for this role:

• You have led a team that created content for a major Leadership or Sales consulting firm
• You have led a team that created Leadership or Sales content for a major publishing firm
• Based on your own experience, you have written (without a ghost writer) books, thought leadership articles or white papers on Leadership or Sales topics
• You have written for a major business publication (e.g., HBR or Sloan Management Review)

BTS has excellent legacy Leadership and Sales content that is now being adapted for digital learning. Much of that content we\xe2\x80\x99re creating will be in micro-learning video format using high-quality illustrated motion graphics. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a member of the team that\xe2\x80\x99s leading this digital transformation effort. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be asked both to contribute to the content strategy and actually create the content.
Key requirements:

• College degree
• Experience leading people and an understanding of the day-to-day challenges managers face
• Strong writing skills and the ability to story-tell based on your own experience
• Willingness to function in a highly collaborative team environment
• Ability to script content for multiple modalities (live training, micro-learning videos, interactive challenges, talking-head videos, quizzes, etc.)
• Ability to guide our storyboard and animation team to visualize scripts in a compelling way
