play a crucial role in:


Architecture - Application Architecture Execution Current State Assessment Implementation Support

Summary:

The

Lead Solution Architect

will play a crucial role in executing detailed application and integration architecture across Grants.gov (J2EE/AWS/Oracle), GrantSolutions (Java/AWS), TAGGS (.Net/Oracle/AWS). Translates enterprise architecture framework into implementable solution designs. Owns integration architecture for 170+ interfaces across 49+ partner systems. Provides cloud migration architecture, technical requirements elaboration, and hands-on architecture support that Senior Technical Director delegates.

Impact:

Provides critical specialized depth enabling comprehensive architecture coverage without overloading primary Senior Technical Director. Allows for focused expertise in complex technical domains while maintaining cost efficiency through part-time allocation.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

Provide specialized architecture expertise supporting Senior Technical Director #1 in complex technical domains Conduct architecture deep-dives and technical assessments in specialized areas Advise on complex integration patterns, AI/ML implementations, security architectures, or other specialized domains Review and validate technical approaches proposed by implementation vendors Support proof-of-concept architecture and technical validation activities Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and advanced architecture patterns Assist with technical risk assessments for complex modernization initiatives Participate in architecture governance reviews for high-complexity technical decisions Develop specialized architecture patterns and standards in domain of expertise Support Senior Technical Director #1 with technical advisory during critical decision points Provide on-call architecture expertise for urgent technical issues in specialized domain

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

10+ years solution architecture 7+ years Federal systems 5+ years integration architecture Deep technical architecture - J2EE, Java, .NET, Oracle, AWS Integration patterns - REST/SOAP APIs, ETL, messaging, batch Cloud architecture - AWS migration, infrastructure-as-code Application modernization strategies Technical requirements and design documentation

Preferred Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's CS/Engineering AWS Solutions Architect Professional

Required Security Clearance:

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret trust or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
