Responsibilities



Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of solar systems. Install photovoltaic panels, mounting hardware, DC wiring and other system components on various structures including roof and ground mounts. Handle high voltage and low voltage electrical connections safely in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as fork trucks / lulls to complete installations efficiently and safely. Perform roofing work as needed for rooftop solar installations, ensuring waterproofing and structural integrity. Read and interpret construction plans accurately to coordinate installation activities seamlessly across teams. Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and worksite by managing tools, materials, and waste responsibly throughout each project phase. Collaborate with senior and engineering team members to troubleshoot solar array electrical issues using electrical experience and knowledge and adhering to safety protocols. Support the testing and commissioning of installed systems to ensure optimal performance before project completion. Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), especially when working at heights or on rooftops. Record and upload project data, parts lists and as built photos to customer share file.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a solar installer, roofing installer or having involvement installing electrical construction projects involving high voltage systems. Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints reading, NEC standards, and electrical codes related to solar installations. Hands-on experience with fixture installation, wiring techniques, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in construction environments. Familiarity with roofing procedures, roofing safety standards, and working at heights on various structures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely and effectively. Knowledge of plumbing basics related to solar system components is a plus but not mandatory. Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments while maintaining safety standards. Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, working at heights on roofs, climbing ladders or scaffolding for extended periods. Valid certifications and licenses in electrical work or related fields are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged for growth opportunities. Join us in shaping the future of energy! Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
