Amazon Games is looking for a Lead Publishing Producer to join a team to bring a new massively multiplayer online from overseas to the western audience. In this role you will be at the nexus of cross-discipline teams using your Live Operations production experience to work with the rest of the production team to solve tactical challenges and raise the bar for strategic planning for post-launch operations by sharing your knowledge with others. You will dive deep with the Production Management team to analyze game data and make recommendations for future development initiatives. Note that while our preferred site is San Diego, we may have flexibility for this role to sit in Seattle or Irvine"

As the Lead Publishing Producer, you are a seasoned leader with cross platform, Free to Play and live ops game experience. In this role you:



Key job responsibilities
  • Work in a cross-functional team responsible for end-to-end operations and publishing including feature roadmap and rollout, monetization, localization, server infrastructure, live operations, go-to-market, communications, marketing campaign, social media, player relations and community programs.
  • Proactively mitigate risks and help reduce a product\xe2\x80\x99s exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood, ineffective cross-team collaboration, insufficient testing) and influence teams to eliminate problems that stifle innovation or cause user dissatisfaction
  • Work with the production team to ensure the support teams are live operations ready
  • Focus on simplification - articulating when it is appropriate to build, improve an existing solution, or integrate existing features for a more cohesive end-to-end customer experience.
  • Work with the game development team to spearhead game culturalization efforts and contribute to building an asset pipeline, a deployment process and commerce infrastructure to set the game up for long term success.
  • Negotiate to make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features), and drive appropriate schedules and readjust priorities to ensure the right customer, technology, and engineering outcomes.
  • Possess the analytical horsepower to break down complex game and production problems, and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results.
  • Have expansive knowledge of Games as a Service including product management/game monetization.
  • Have experience working with game developers in Asia and building and maintaining relationships with senior leaders in the region.


  • 3+ years professional experience managing all aspects of player lifecycle for a game at scale (games with over 250k monthly unique users).
  • 2+ years game design experience.
  • 2+ Years PR and community facing experience.
  • 2+ Years QA experience.
  • Console ecosystem knowledge with a F2P title is a plus
  • Japanese Language Competency
  • Ability to think on your feet and respond to rapidly changing data sets in real time.
  • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions by using data across a variety of signals to build convincing arguments that address the needs of stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation.
  • Experience weighing competing needs and ability to make trade-offs and tough calls quickly using data and analysis in a way that is timely. Recognizes the point of diminishing return of data analysis to make optimally speedy and informed calls.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $304,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
