Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Painter (and team members) to oversee painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in various painting techniques, construction knowledge, and leadership abilities to guide a team of painters. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new constructions, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Lead and coordinate painting crews on multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met. Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, sanding, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment. Estimate material quantities and labor requirements for projects using construction estimating principles. Perform or supervise carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members regarding project progress and challenges.

Requirements

Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; power tools including drills and sanders; airless paint sprayers; welding equipment; and masonry tools. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Valid driver's license preferred fork site travel responsibilities.
