Lead Mental Health Residential Counselor/FT/Hunterdon County, NJ

What will you do?
Supports the group home residents with daily living activities. Delivers high-quality services that will help consumers achieve measurable outcomes of new and ongoing consumer care challenges through Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP). Maintains compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and ENJ policies and procedures. Maintains ENJ\xe2\x80\x99s Core Values at all times (Warmth, Respectful, Expertise).

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supports consumers in achieving measurable outcomes to address new and ongoing consumer care challenges.
  • Adheres to the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services standards (AMHRS).
  • Achieves a high level of consumer and customer satisfaction by responding promptly to consumer complaints and grievances.
  • Educates and monitors consumer medications, observe medication logs, and complete monthly medication audits.
  • Coordinates supportive services based on consumer needs.
  • Maintains company vehicle by required policies and procedures.
  • Inspects the physical environment at the start and end of each shift to determine deficiencies that will need remediation.
  • Provides high-quality services through Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
  • Accurately documents services by required timeframes with policy and procedures using the electronic health record.
  • Maintains a safe clean environment of care (EOC) including signing off on fire drills,
  • Complies with regulatory training requirements. Training must be completed 14 days before expiration to avoid interruption of services.
  • Facilitates monthly scheduling of staff for multiple sites.
  • Leads the verification of timesheets for payroll processing.
  • Participates in budgetary discussions and planning.
  • Ensures compliance standards are met for all auditing agencies.
  • Ensures audits of billing for designated sites are carried out weekly and reporting is sent to the Site Supervisor.
  • Provides ongoing mentorship to staff
  • Creates and maintains organizational tools for the ongoing compliance of documentation.
  • Oversee house inventory supplies within budgetary limits.


Job Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mental Health, or human services
OR
A combination of one (1) or more years of college, plus related life or work experience equal to four (4) years
OR
  • High School or GED plus four (4) years of related work or life experience.
  • Must have an intermediate level of computer experience with the ability to learn new computer programs.
  • Must have a valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible and compassionate when working with consumers
