6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Shift Differential:

+$2.00/hour

for both shifts

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Lead Laser Operator

to support and lead laser cutting operations on off-shifts. This role is responsible for operating, programming, and troubleshooting flat and tube lasers, ensuring quality standards are met, meeting production schedules, and supporting team members through training and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and lead laser cutting operations to fabricate metal components according to blueprints and specifications. Operate and troubleshootflat and tube laser machines, including on-the-fly corrections and adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Assist operators with programming questions and optimization. Utilize measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform in-process and final quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Understand and follow all company processes and procedures. Understand production schedules and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met. Lead employees on shift, answer questions, resolve issues, and support production flow. Train new hires, including operation and programming of flat and tube lasers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Proven experience operating laser cutting machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Leadership skills with the ability to train and support team members. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.

Preferred

Experience with laser programming and nesting software. Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Fabrication and tooling setup experience.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
