We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

General Manager Lead Truck Technician

to oversee our heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance operations. Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a team of truck technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and quality of work. Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Perform detailed inspections and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems Conduct fabrication tasks as needed for custom modifications or repairs using power tools and welding equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance. Manage inventory levels for parts and tools required for repairs; coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation for all repairs performed. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in equipment maintenance and customer service. Support customer interactions by providing technical advice and ensuring their needs are met efficiently.

Experience



Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, welding, fabrication, and assembly. Demonstrated expertise in working with Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy-duty brands such as John Deere or Komatsu is advantageous. Skilled in operating heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Experience with vehicle maintenance including brake repair (air brake systems), tire service, suspension work (shocks & struts), hydraulics, HVAC systems, transmissions, electrical diagnostics & soldering skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail during repairs. Familiarity with automotive repair standards related to diesel engines and powertrain components. Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a team of service technicians or mechanics in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.50 per hour
