Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Automotive Painter to oversee and execute high-quality vehicle painting projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto body repair, auto painting, and vehicle restoration, with leadership abilities to guide a team of painters. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all vehicles meet the highest standards of finish and customer satisfaction. Prior dealership experience and mechanic skills are highly valued for this position.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the automotive painting team to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards are met Prepare vehicles for painting by performing sanding, masking, and surface repairs Apply paint using air powered spray equipment. Conduct body repairs, buffing, and detailing to restore vehicles to optimal condition Maintain cleanliness of work area and proper storage of tools and materials Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all phases of the painting process Provide excellent communication of progress and addressing any concerns

Experience

Proven dealership experience preferred, with a strong background in auto body repair, auto painting, and restoration Hands-on experience with auto painting techniques such as air powered paint spraying and buffing. Experience working with auto restoration projects or mechanic work is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Extremely strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Leadership skills to manage a team effectively and ensure project deadlines are met
Pay: $23.28 - $28.04 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
