The Role
As the Lead Associate, Gift Processing, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of donations, ensuring that every gift is recorded in our donor database with precision and in alignment with donor intent.
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on day-to-day system operations and support the Advisors by backfilling assorted revenue processing and reconciling tasks. This role will also collaborate closely with the Senior Director to drive operational efficiency and enhance the overall donor experience.
This is a position with an end date of February 2027.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Revenue processing and reconciling (50%)
Lead on processing new donations from multiple sources, including checks, bank wires, credit cards, stocks, crypto, and third-party vendors and platforms, and ensure funds are applied accurately.
Responsible for Cybersource credit card weekly reconciliation to the processor and monthly reconciling to the bank. Ensure refunds and chargebacks are kept up to date and processed accurately.
Back up other Lead Associates on daily and monthly recs for gifts coming in through the agency's main website via credit card and PayPal, as well as credit cards charged via BBEC directly to Blackbaud Merchant Services
I
n-Office weekly check deposits (15%)
Along with other team members, assist with in-office check deposits 1-2 days per week. This includes sorting/opening mail received in-house, depositing checks to the bank, creating batches and deposits in our CRM, and scanning gift copies to the one drive.
Audit Support (10%)
Support regular audit reviews of our records and operating practices, leveraging knowledge of multiple systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support Sr. Director and Advisors on implementing solutions that meet IRS, legal, donor, accounting and systems requirements.
Training/Knowledge Sharing (15%)
Provide guidance as a subject matter expert and offer additional training and knowledge sharing where needed.
Perform other revenue processing duties and back up team as needed (10%)
Required qualifications for the role
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Demonstrated proficiency with BBEC
Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $66,300 - $74,100 base salary
Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $60,350 - $67,450 base salary
Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $54,400 - $60,800 base salary
The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
