Job Summary

Aloha 'Aina Landscaping LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated

Landscape Construction Foreman

to lead our landscape construction projects on Oahu. The Foreman will oversee crews, manage project execution, and ensure that all work aligns with our commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This role requires hands-on expertise in landscape construction, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

: Supervise and coordinate landscape construction projects, including lawn installation (hydroseeding, plugging, seeding, sodding), irrigation systems, hardscaping (stone walls, driveways, drainage systems), and accent lighting, ensuring timely completion within budget.

Crew Management

: Lead, train, and motivate a team of landscape technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.

Site Preparation and Execution

: Oversee soil preparation (removing grass/weeds, tilling, adding compost, leveling), drainage solutions (drain pipes, swales), and masonry work (coral, blue stone, moss rock walls) to deliver structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing results.

Client Communication

: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring their vision is realized.

Quality Control

: Ensure all work meets Aloha 'Aina's high standards, using only the best materials and maintaining a clean, organized job site.

Equipment and Safety

: Manage the safe operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Problem Solving

: Address project challenges promptly, communicating progress, issues, and solutions to clients and management.
Qualifications

Experience

: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in lawn installation techniques (hydroseeding, plugging, seeding, sodding), irrigation system installation, hardscaping (stone walls, driveways, drainage systems), and landscape lighting.

Leadership

: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge

: Familiarity with local plant species, soil conditions, and Hawaii's unique environmental factors. Understanding of permitting requirements for masonry and construction projects.

Physical Requirements

: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.

Certifications

: Valid driver's license required

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors across Oahu, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Based out of our Kaneohe, HI location, with projects in Honolulu, Aiea, Waimanalo, and surrounding areas. Full-time position with occasional overtime during peak project periods.
