The Labor Coordinatoris responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing Tweet/Garot's field labor resources across all projects. This role ensures that each job site is properly staffed with qualified personnel to meet schedule, quality, and safety goals. The Labor Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between field operations, project management, HR, and safety to align manpower needs with company objectives. This position splits time between office and field locations, requiring regular travel to job sites to maintain close communication and support for field leaders. Point of contact between the company and the members of Local Unions. Actively recruit employees in accordance with labor and pre-apprenticeship requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Schedule, coordinate, and manage Tweet/Garot's Sheet Metal field and shop labor workforce across active projects.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization--from field and shop personnel to executive management.
Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, Foremen, HR, and Safety to ensure effective labor deployment.
Maintain compliance with company standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Represent Tweet/Garot professionally with employees, partners, and customers.
Receive, review, and fulfill labor requests to meet project and company priorities.
Manage day-to-day field manpower assignments and ensure job sites are adequately staffed.
Maintain a real-time labor schedule and roster, tracking employee availability, and skills.
Conduct job site visits to maintain relationships, assess workforce engagement, and communicate company updates.
Assist in coordination of out-of-town projects, including travel arrangements, per diem, and site-specific pay plans.
Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and selection process for field employees, ensuring alignment with project and company requirements.
Conduct or support new hire orientation and ensure required onboarding, safety, and training are completed.
Identify and manage light-duty assignments in coordination with HR and Safety.
Support workforce development initiatives, including training, certification, and leadership opportunities.
Communicate regularly with field and operations leadership to align manpower planning with company strategy.
Participate in labor meetings, manpower planning sessions, and leadership discussions.
Maintain confidential information and exercise sound judgment in workforce decisions.
Other duties as assigned.
Resource for Business Agent information - usually for out of state work - ability and how many labor resources to travel to jurisdiction
Acts as stakeholder with Union Joint Apprenticeship Committee, monitors apprentice performance and addresses issues as necessary

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary education in construction management, business, or related field preferred. Completion of Sheet Metal Apprenticeship is preferred
5+ years of experience in construction dispatch, field coordination, labor management, recruitment, or staffing.
Strong understanding of mechanical construction environments and craft labor roles.
Proven ability to lead and communicate effectively across departments and job sites.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Ability to interpret project schedules, labor forecasts, and safety documentation.
Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
