PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION



A Kitchen-Dining Assistant supports kitchen and dining room operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and customer service. This role handles tasks like prepping ingredients, washing dishes, setting tables, and serving meals to our tenants.




ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS







Kitchen Responsibilities:


Washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients as directed. Washing and storing dishes, utensils, and cookware. Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Maintaining an organized dining room and kitchen environment.


Dining Room Responsibilities:


Setting tables with cutlery, glassware, and linens. Welcoming and seating tenants. Taking food and beverage orders from tenants Assisting servers in serving food and beverages. Clearing and cleaning tables after guests leave. Restocking condiments, utensils, and other supplies.



OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS




Maintain and clean the dining room and kitchen areas: sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors, taking out garbage and replace liners, washing and stocking, cleaning of equipment, and work areas. Adhering to established food handling and cleaning procedures. Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers. Understanding of food preparation techniques and hygiene standards. Experience with cleaning equipment and procedures. Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner. Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen and dining staff. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry items. Demonstrate MSLCC's customer service standards of excellence. Respect and uphold resident rights in all regards, including confidentiality of resident information, and refrain from any action that would be considered abusive physically, emotionally, or verbally, or neglectful of their needs Know, understand, implement, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk with heavy trays/tubs (up to 50 pounds). Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight, taste, smell, and hearing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to raw meat, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Will be around hot/cold food and equipment, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including goggles, masks, rubber gloves, and other safeguards.
