KITCHEN SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and
maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees in
methods of cooking, preparation, presentation, portion and cost control and sanitation
and cleanliness.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food according to Tito's Burritos & Wings prep, menu and
recipe standards
Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from
storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control
procedures
Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for Kitchen floors,
mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas
Assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling as required by anticipated business
activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and
labor cost objectives are met
Cleans food preparation equipment and work area
Adheres to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Oversee training of new kitchen employees
Respond appropriately to guest concerns and communicate guest requests to
management
Check orders for accuracy and portion control
Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by the RM, AGM, Shift
Supervisors as well as Upper Management.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to process information through KD system
Ability to communicate with team members and guests
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
Requirements:
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of food
and supplies which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above
Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
