Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Lead to assist our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service. As a Kitchen Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Wage posted is an estimate as we operate on a tip pool. Base pay is $12-$15 based on experience and an additional $6-$15 will be tipped depending on business.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation during service hours. Cut staff as when business declines or call additional staff in if we are busy. Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality. Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock for daily operations. Preparing daily prep lists to ensure readiness for the following day. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Assist in menu planning and development. Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.

Skills

Proven experience in food service. Experience preparing prep lists and completing inventory. Experience in shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Ability to train staff effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
