The Kitchen Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, opening the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff effectively, maintain inventory control, and uphold the restaurant's standards. This position requires early mornings as you are the kitchen opener, you must be comfortable working by yourself and being able to be on time to open the kitchen. . The ideal candidate will have experience in both quick service fast food and fine dining environments, demonstrating a passion for hospitality and food service management.
Responsibilities
Open Kitchen 5am start time
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food preparation.
Train new team members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and menu items.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with the management team to develop menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all kitchen activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Assist in resolving any issues that arise during service to ensure a smooth operation.
Utilize Aloha POS system for order management and staff scheduling as needed.
Implement and create daily specials.
Ability to follow a recipe
Have strong line cook skills
Have early morning availability
Accountability to work on your own, be a self starter.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with a POS system is a plus.
Strong background in inventory control and food service management.
Experience in both quick service fast food restaurants and fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
