We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a commitment to food safety standards. Hours are noon to close (we close at 9 so expect 10pm average) Thursday-Sunday. Meals provided. Mon.-Wed. Off.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in menu planning and meal preparation to meet dietary needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including dishwashing duties.
Handle food safely and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
Perform inventory checks and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation tasks.
Support catering events as required, ensuring high-quality service.
Skills
Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is a plus.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the restaurant industry.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
Culinary experience with an emphasis on meal preparation and catering services.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
