Purpose of the Job and Expected outcome

The Kit Packaging Manager (KPM) will manage and oversee the kit packaging leadership team and staff to achieve operation objectives that have been outlined by the Global Director. The KPM will implement quality control that is outlined by standard operational procedures (SOP), as well as, health and safety regulations. The KPM will be expected to provide their leadership team with directions on materials, equipment, and expectations. The KPM will ensure project/department milestones/goals are met, while adhering to the budget that has been provided. Ultimately - always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution.

Key Accountabilities, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the kit packing department as well as for optimum functioning of the production process.
  • Maintaining a healthy work environment - responsible for maintaining acceptable turn over percentages of staff
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, Kit Packing production, and distribution operations.
  • Directly and/or indirectly lead supervisors. Responsible for holding the leadership team accountable.
  • Initiate and realize improvement strategies in the area of quality, efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Implementing and overseeing security operations.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of department, will further professionalization of processes and systems.
  • Communication with both internal customers and external contacts (couriers and suppliers).
  • Collaborates with all other required departments (HR, Recruiting, IT).
  • Audit and report inventory deficiencies. Responsible for warehouse operations.
  • Current with latest federal and state safety regulations.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of all warehouse and kit packing activities.
  • Ensure and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of training records; file records as required.

  • Able to prioritize quickly under pressure and has outstanding attention to detail.
  • Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to communicate with IT team effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills (team player, flexible and stress resistant.).
  • Available to work extended hour - dependent upon production demands of clients and customers.
  • Perform and behaves in accordance with the agreements established in SOPs that are contained within the current quality system platform.
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement, proven successful in initiating and implementing change.
Experience
  • Has a minimum of 5 years management experience in an operational work environment with a minimum of 10 persons;
  • Has relevant experience in a logistic / production environment / process improvement
Education
  • Minimum of a Bachelors in a relevant career field
  • Equivalent military experience, certifications, and training will be taken into consideration.
